Coffee Time With Andrew Episode 100
I have not been posting much in the last ten months. That is because I am changing my life. This involves learning a new kind of vocation, learning a new kind of avocation, and incorporating it into my life narrative which still includes dog training as the foundation and reference point for change. I think dog training and the principles of behavior and behavior change will always be part of who I am. I have been living this existence for my whole life, so it will most likely never change. However, how I apply it and to who I direct it to may change with time.
I am thinking about ending the coffee time series with episode 100 while announcing the completion of my new dog training book. “It’s coffee time” was a very popular feature of my old Google Plus account (with over one million followers) and I thought it could continue on YouTube, but it never gained traction.
I am now working on a dog rescue and lifestyle video show and beginning to work with helping people who are homeless. At the moment I am looking for small donations of men’s clothing and dog food. I have no area for storage and I am working with a small number of people, so I can only take small donations at this time. If I can continue on this course of action I hope to one day have a large nonprofit campus of some kind that combines supporting both homeless people and homeless dogs.
There are social organizations within the larger culture that help people work through change. If the resources can be secured, I would like to develop such an organization, with an emphasis on Christian values. I envision an organization that, while most noticeably helps a few strata of society, will be beneficial to the larger group. I think many of the ideas and beliefs will be useful for all strata of our evolving culture and ultimately the larger world culture. Unfortunately, I have identified 19 groups in my local area that actively attack the cultural institutions and groups I want to help. How did I find these groups you ask? Well, I wanted to find a place to give public talks and they were some of the first places I thought of. But after looking at their mission I quickly realized they want to destroy many of the cultural practices and groups I support.
On this journey to helping people manage change I plan on writing a few more books and do a few more video series. One thing about change is that it is ever-present. Change is always with us. Even if we don’t change, often our environment does. Change is especially noticeable in a dog training program where we get to see many types of change in a rather complex social system. I am really thinking that the next two books I write will be dedicated toward a nonprofit that helps people change.
