Auburn automobiles were produced from 1900 through 1937 and Like many other early American car companies the Auburn car Company started out as a Carriage Company. The Eckhart Carriage Company was founded in Auburn, Indiana, in 1874 by Charles Eckhart. It was Eckhart’s sons, Frank and Morris, that developed the business and acquired two other local carmakers before moving into a larger plant in 1909.

Auburn automobiles were produced from 1900 through 1937.
